Namib Marine Services aims to remain focused on the needs of our clients through continuous interaction in order to establish, improve and ensure that we deliver a safe, efficient and costeffective service to a continuous changing maritime industry and aspire to do so within theparameters of sound governance, environmental, employment and social responsibilities.
MANAGEMENT & STAFF
The core of our business is our employees, and with NMS we have well-qualified, seagoingexperienced crew compliments, who are endorsed by the Namibian Ports Authority and DMA as part of their requirements to conduct business.
The quality of our launch crews is supported by a management team with first-hand experience/ knowledge gained over many years of seagoing, fishing, diving and off-shore vessel repair/lay-up exposure. Thus NMS can ensure that ample and quality training is provided to our incumbent and new employees. This qualified knowledge of the Maritime Industry is also transferred to our customers by means of advice and assistance on various operations.
Our vessels and equipment are diligently maintained, certified and insured in order to deliver a reliable service to our customers. The aforementioned maintenance of our vessels, equipment and buildings are managed and supervised by our own workshop personnel which comprises of mechanical engineers, electricians, welders, shipwrights and store men, whom are all from a Previously Disadvantaged background.

BACKGROUND
Namib Marine Services (Pty) Ltd was established in 1970 by Alan Burns Louw as the proprietor and has been successfully delivering services to the Maritime Industry ever since.
NMS prides itself in the personalized service offered which is supported by the extensive level of expertise gained over many years of operations. This was acknowledged by the Namibian Port Authorities by bestowing the Namport CEO Award introduced by Mr. Bisey /Uirab onto Mr. Louw for his contribution to the industry.
